RACE DAY PARKING:

Orange County Government Center parking lot – enter from Scotchtown Ave.

COURSES:

Both races start at the same time and place at the Government Center, 255 Main Street.

5K: Left on Erie Street, left on Main Street, right on Orange Ave, right on Parkway, left at Old Chester Road, back on Old Chester Road, right on Park Place and finishes in front of the Surrogate Courthouse.

10K: Left on Erie Street, left on Main Street, right on Orange Ave, right on Parkway, Left on Arthur Place, left at McBride Place, left at Orange Ave, right on Main Street, right at Craigville Rd, right at Knoell Rd., right on Old Chester Rd., back onto South Church St., and finishes in front of the Surrogate Courthouse on Park Place.

AWARDS:

Awards will be presented at the Surrogate Courthouse on Park Place to the top 3 overall males and females in the 5k and 10k events. Additional awards will be presented three deep in the age divisions.

GREAT AMERICAN WEEKEND

Since 1982, the Great American Weekend has been a tradition that defines Goshen as a Great American Community. Originally intended to bolster attendance at the Historic Track after betting was eliminated, the Great American Weekend offers activities for every member of the family and has grown into one of the county’s most prestigious events.

Fun for all ages, 20K people a day stroll the nine-acre village surrounding the First Presbyterian Church. This two day event offers over 150 Craft Vendors, Live Music, Great Food, Children’s Activities and a fantastic family friendly environment.

This community event has funded many amazing programs benefiting the entire community. Revenue, generated by vendor fees, supports the programming provided to members and the community the Goshen Chamber serves throughout the year.

GREENWOOD LAKE INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

July 2- 12pm- Thomas P. Morahan Waterfront Park, Greenwood Lake, NY

Begins with a parade at 11am down Windermere Ave; Waterfront Park beach open to residents only 10am to 6pm; at 2pm free concerts at the park begin, featuring a food and beer truck at the park. Day’s events culminate with a spectacular fireworks at dusk! Be sure to bring your own chair or blanket.

2022 STARS & STRIPES CELEBRATION IN MIDDLETOWN

July 2- 6pm- Fancher Davidge Park, Middletown, NY

Party in the Park kicks off at 6pm with the Middletown New York Recreation & Parks Department for Kids crafts, gently loved used children’s book giveaway, Middletown Rec. Youth breakdancing demo and Zumba expo. Plus, the Middletown Fire Department will be there selling delicious things to eat! Live Entertainment kicks off at 7pm. Fireworks take place at dusk! WEST POINT INDEPENDENCE CELEBRATION

 July 2- 7:30pm- Trophy Point Amphitheater, West Point NY

The West Point Band will present its annual Independence Day Celebration with fireworks. In case of inclement weather, this outdoor concert will move to Sunday, July 3 at 7:30 p.m. This ever-popular concert draws a big crowd, so be sure to arrive early to get a good spot on the hill.

The West Point Band “Music Under the Stars” Summer Concert Series at West Point’s majestic Trophy Point Amphitheater. Audiences are welcome to bring picnics, visit the beautiful and historic grounds of the USMA, and enjoy scenic Hudson River views while the Band performs a wide variety of world-class music. These concerts are free and open to the public.

INDEPENDENCE DAY @ NEW WINDSOR CANTONMENT & KNOX’S HEADQUARTERS

July 4 - 10am-5pm - Knox’s Headquarters State Historic Site, New Windsor, NY

Celebrate the 4th at two sites hallowed by the soldiers who won our independence.

 At New Windsor Cantonment, a military drill and cannon firing at 2:00 PM, followed by a children’s musket drill.  At 3:00 PM, visitor assisted reading of the Declaration of Independence followed by another military demonstration.

 At Knox’s Headquarters house tours at 10:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, 2:00 PM, 3:00 & 4:00 PM and the firing of a small cannon at 1:00 PM & 4:00 PM
